Effective [EFFECTIVE DATE]
Cookie Policy
We take a deliberately minimal approach: WebIntel AI uses only strictly necessary cookies and local storage, and no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
What we use, and why
| Where | Name / type | Purpose | Category |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dashboard (app) | Session cookie (authentication) | Keeps you signed in to your account. Without it, the dashboard cannot work. | Strictly necessary |
| Chat widget | Local storage — session identifier | Maintains conversation continuity within a visit so the assistant remembers the thread. | Strictly necessary |
| Marketing site | Local storage — theme preference | Remembers your light/dark choice. | Functional |
| Payments | Stripe cookies (during checkout) | Set by Stripe to process payment and prevent fraud. See Stripe’s cookie notice. | Strictly necessary |
Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent under most laws. Because we do not set advertising or analytics-tracking cookies, no cookie-consent banner is required for our own use. [If you later add analytics or marketing cookies, add a consent banner and update this table.]
Widgets on customers’ websites
When the WebIntel chat widget is embedded on a customer’s website, its local storage is used only for conversation continuity as described above. The customer (site operator) is responsible for their own site’s cookie notice and consent.
Managing cookies
You can clear or block cookies and local storage in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary items may prevent the dashboard or the assistant from functioning.
